El Cipres farm is a family business, whose beginnings in the cultivation of coffee are relatively recent. In a region that has not been recognized by the cultivation of this grain but whose characteristics, climatic, altitude and soil, encourage the cultivation of strictly hard coffee. This is how, in 1979, the small-scale production of the Catuai variety began, and over time it increased the cultivation area and incorporated new varieties such as Caturra, Catimor and Pache, among others.
El Cipres Farm, has been a source of work for men and women from the surrounding areas, being for some families in the village an opportunity for economic growth. Currently the objectives of the farm are to improve more and more agricultural techniques, to increase the sustainability of the production, being friendly to the environment, with a great cup quality. From the year 2016, a pulper is acquired, which gives way to a new phase, which aims to commercialize the product internationally, in markets interested in obtaining Special Origin Coffee.
